A note from a Teacher

My name is Ade Oyewo; I have been in the teaching industry for over 14 years, and I have seen so many issues unfold and resolved in the education landscape in South Africa. For me, teaching is the most relevant and valuable profession needed in the transformation of younger generations into meaningful adulthood; teaching is the only profession that simply took on the responsibility of developing children into responsible adults through a  never-ending journey of lifelong learning.  Teachers nowadays are inundated with the infinite responsibility of educating and civilising our societies in the aim of creating a structured, yet adaptable communities where young and old can learn and thrive successfully. With this said, it is imperative for any community or civil society to create a functional educational system that promotes a positive atmosphere where teaching and learning can take place, and as such providing conducive learning environment for the young and at-risk youth learners
